MARQUETTE — A Marquette woman faces up to 18 years in prison after police say she tried passing a check at a business that didn’t belong to her.
21-year-old Cassie Marie Croschere was arrested by the Marquette Police Department for Uttering and Publishing, a 14-year felony, and Larceny in a Building, a 4-year felony. Police say that Croschere took a check from a relative’s residence and passed it at the Walmart in Marquette on July 1st.
Croschere is currently lodged at the Marquette County Jail. Bond is set at 10% of $10,000 on each felony count.
