Man arrested after fleeing police enters guilty plea
IRON MOUNTAIN — A Marquette man who allegedly ran from a traffic stop in Iron Mountain early last month has entered a guilty plea.
33–year–old Michael Marquardt pleaded guilty in Dickinson County Circuit Court to one count of assaulting, resisting, or obstructing a police officer causing injury, another count of assaulting, resisting, or obstructing, and one count of operating while intoxicated, second offense. Marquardt also has a felony habitual offender notice in this case.
He was arrested early on May 8th after allegedly fleeing police on foot after they attempted to arrest him for operating under the influence of drugs. Marquardt will be sentenced on July 20th.
