ISHPEMING — If you’ve passed through Ishpeming on US–41 in the past several days, you might have noticed that a popular staple is once again open for business.

Spiessl’s Produce began selling fresh fruits, vegetables, and plants about a week ago. This is the 23rd year in a row that Spiessl’s has been around for the spring and summer months.

The family owned business sells anything from green beans and corn to hanging baskets.

“We have a lot of people that come in and they’re always like ‘it’s so great to see you again and it’s so great to see the customers,” said Maureen Spiessl. “We’ve become great friends with some of them. To see them support us and to continue to come in, it’s a great thing. It’s a great feeling.”

Spiessl’s Produce is open seven days a week from 9am to 9pm.
