Man arrested after fleeing police headed to Circuit Court

IRON MOUNTAIN — A Marquette man arrested in Iron Mountain for allegedly operating a vehicle while intoxicated and resisting arrest is headed to Circuit Court.

33-year-old Michael Marquardt was bound over to Dickinson County Circuit Court at his preliminary exam Wednesday morning. He is facing six charges including assaulting, resisting, and obstructing a police officer causing injury. He was arrested May 8th after allegedly fleeing police after they attempted to take him into custody for operating under the influence of drugs during a traffic stop.

Marquardt will be arraigned in Circuit Court June 1st.
