Popular gift shop relocates after 30 years

HOUGHTON — A popular gift shop is now open in their new location in Houghton.

Keweenaw Gem and Gift closed up their old location after 30 years and moved down the street to a brand new building on Razorback Drive. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to invite the public to take a look at the new store.

“It’s given us the ability to redesign the store, carry different products. We’ve got a lot more parking, a lot more access,” said Keweenaw Gem & Gift Ken Flood. “I think we’re a lot more efficient in many different areas.”

Several community leaders came out to the ceremony in support of one of the favorite local businesses. The store specializes in unique minerals, jewelry, and items that celebrate the Keweenaw area.
