Noquemanon Trail Network holds annual meeting

MARQUETTE — With summer just around the corner, bikers and hikers have a lot to look forward to.

In the spirit of the season, the Noquemanon Trail Network held it’s annual meeting Wednesday night. The Network holds board meetings regularly, but this one is a little more special.

“We talk about the state of the organization, our accomplishments of 2014–15 and our goals for 2015–16,” said Nicole Dewald, the director of operations for the Noquemanon Trail Network.

This year the organization made some pretty big accomplishments. The single track recieved bronze level status from the International Mountain Biking Association.

They’ve got some big goals in mind too. Nicole says they want to start a new festival at the Forestville trailhead and add a gravity series at the south trailhead.

“The Noquemanon Trail Network sets these goals and standards for the year so that we can be trail advocates for the silent sports community in Marquette County,” added Dewald.
