GOGEBIC COUNTY — A western U.P. man was sentenced today in Gogebic County Circuit Court for his role in a drug bust late last year.

36-year–old James Schaus was sentenced to twelve months in jail and two years probation for one count of delivery or manufacture of cocaine, heroin, or another narcotic, less than 50 grams. He was also given credit for 161 days served in jail.

Schaus was one of five people arrested in December at a residence in Ironwood by GIANT. He was originally charged with four felony drug charges.
