ALGER COUNTY — A Grand Marais Man will spend some time behind bars for his role in a string of robberies last October.

40–year–old Carl Yeager was sentenced to serve eight months immediately with credit for time served. He pleaded guilty to one count of larceny in a building and one count of stolen property.

Yeager was arrested by the Alger County Sheriff’s Department on October 31 for stealing generators, power tools, and chainsaws, among other things. He also pleaded guilty to a possession of contraband charge.

Police say Yeager was in possession of illegal contraband while he was in jail.
