Armed robbery under investigation in Houghton

HOUGHTON — The Houghton Police Department reports they are investigating an armed robbery that took place Thursday afternoon in west Houghton.

According to the victim, the suspect was selling some stereo equipment and asked to see the money first. The victim claims that upon showing the money the suspect took it by force and left the scene dragging the victim for close to a half block.

The Houghton Police Department reports they have a person of interest they are searching for at this time.
