Gun and knife show offers items and information

BARK RIVER — The 3rd Annual Bark River Gun and Knife Show opened Friday with vendors offering guns of all calibers as well as handmade knives. The event was hosted by the local American Legion group and held at the Bark River Senior Center, which provided ample space for all the paraphernalia.

“We have a wonderful facility here, parking is great. We have a lot of parking areas, the building is beautiful here,” said American Legion member George Potvin.

People of all backgrounds were encouraged to come out and learn about different hunting lifestyles.

“Originally I started primitive technology so that this would be the way that I would hunt,” vendor Gregory Sanville said. “Now I do a lot of teaching, instructing on primitive living skills varying from tool making to tool use and weapon usage.”

The show also carried into Saturday to make for a fun–filled weekend.
