North Central boys win Class D Title
EAST LANSING — Behind an 11-0 run to end the second quarter, the North Central boys basketball team cruised to a 67-47 win in the Class D state championship game against Morenci.
The Jets won a state championship for the second time in school history. 1984 was the other year North Central brought home a state title.
Jason Whitens led the way for the Jets with 19 points. Bobby Kleiman (13), Caleb Martin (13), and Rob Granquist Jr. (11) also scored in double digits. North Central finished the season 27-0.
