HOUGHTON — The Lady Huskies of Michigan Tech enjoyed a lot of success this year.
Their 28 wins were good enough for fourth all–time in school history and allowed them to take home the GLIAC North Title as well as the conference championship. Now their season did end a little prematurely, but one of their best players is still being recognized for her amazing season.
Danielle Blake earned All–America Honorable Mention from the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association. The junior led the Huskies in scoring, rebounding, assists, blocks and steals. She is the sixth Huskies player in the last seven years to earn All–America honors. She has received many awards this year including being named to the Daktronics Midwest Region Second Team and the All–GLIAC First team.
