MARQUETTE — A Trenary man allegedly involved in a police pursuit late last month has been bound over to Circuit Court.

Craig Silta, 44, waived his preliminary exam in Marquette County District Court as well as his arraignment in Circuit Court. Silta is charged with assaulting, resisting, or obstructing a police officer and fourth-degree fleeing from police.

Michigan State Police from the Negaunee Post said they attempted to stop Silta for speeding in Skandia on February 25th when he sped off. A pursuit ensued, but police ended it when Silta turned off the highway onto a slippery, snow-covered road.

Silta’s next court date has not been scheduled yet.
