MARQUETTE — Charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm, a Marquette man will now spend up to six years in prison.

Joseph Etheridge, 37, was sentenced in U.S. District Court Thursday.

Etheridge plead guilty back in November to the firearms charge, which stemmed from him firing a shotgun in Skandia before hiding out in a house that was not his.

Prior to this arrest Etheridge had been convicted of two felony home invasion charges in Detroit.
