MARQUETTE — The Ishpeming woman who plead guilty to interstate drug charges in October was sentenced Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Marquette.

Rachel Hanson, 30, will spend almost 12 and a half years behind bars. She will then spend three years on supervised release.

Hanson plead guilty to possession of cocaine with intent to distribute after being arrested for her role in a drug trafficking ring.

She told investigators she had been transporting cocaine and heroin from Chicago to the Upper Peninsula since 2007.
