Wildcat swimmers off to NCAA Championships
MARQUETTE — Five members of the Northern Michigan University swimming and diving team have been selected to compete at the NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships March 10-14 in Indianapolis, Ind.
Senior divers Molly Kearney and Sophia Garris will represent NMU in the pre qualifying diving event before senior Debbi Lawrence (50 & 100 freestyle, 100 fly and 100 back or 200 freestyle), senior Madisen Sechena (100 & 200 breast stroke and 200 individual medley) and sophomore Rachel Borchardt (1,650, 1,000, 500 and 200 freestyle) will represent the Wildcats in the swimming events.
The Wildcats are coming off a third-place finish at the GLIAC Championships and were ranked 13th in the latest CSCAA rankings.
