Upper Peninsula Weather Forecast 2/12-13

Thursday brought snow and cold! Afternoon temps were only in the single digits, with wind chills well below zero. The brutal cold becomes more harsh tonight, as winds weaken. Lows will plunge into the teens below zero, while skies remain mostly cloudy.

Weather Forecast:

Friday, we’ll get a break from the dangerous cold temps as another system enters with milder temps and light snow. Highs will top off in the upper teens and lower 20s, while winds shift out of the southwest at 5 to 15 miles per hour. Tomorrow night, light snow continues on, as our next arctic burst rushes into the area. Low temps will fall to around zero degrees, while winds turns back out of the northwest at 10 to 20 miles per hour.

The arctic surge will be punishing on Saturday, knocking afternoon temps down into the lower single digits accompanied by gusty winds.
