MARQUETTE — A man scheduled to go to trial Tuesday for numerous felony charges after the sexual assault of a 14–year–old girl will instead be sentenced next month.
Aaron Wesolek, 24, of Marquette had his trial canceled after he entered a guilty plea to the charge of criminal sexual conduct – assault with intent of sexual penetration in Marquette County Circuit Court. He was originally charged with human trafficking – recruiting a minor for child sexually abusive activity, criminal sexual conduct in the third degree, using computers to commit a crime, and accosting children for immoral purposes.
Wesolek was arrested by Marquette City Police in May of 2014 after an investigation into the sexual assault of a Marquette girl whom he had met via the internet and had transported to his home on April 21st. His sentencing is scheduled for March 6th.
