Missing ATV rider found dead
MCFARLAND — An ATV rider who had gone missing was found dead Sunday morning.
Troopers from the Negaunee Post of the Michigan State Police say they were sent to County Road 444 in McFarland shortly after midnight to investigate a report of a missing man, Larry Clausen, 57, of McFarland, who was out riding his ATV for most of Saturday and never returned home.
Marquette County Search and Rescue personnel were called in to assist Michigan State Police troopers in searching many miles of roads and trails in Ewing Township. At 9:30 a.m. Sunday, search personnel found Clausen’s body and his ATV on Homestead Road.
Troopers say no foul play is suspected, but the cause of death remains under investigation.
