Police investigating break-ins in Iron Mountain and Kingsford
DICKINSON COUNTY — A number of breaking and entering and illegal entry incidents are under investigation in Dickinson County.
Officers from the Iron Mountain Police Department say they received complaints of three such incidents Wednesday morning. Breaking and entering incidents were reported at two Iron Mountain buildings, the First Lutheran Church on South Stephenson Avenue and Markell Roofing on South Milwaukee Avenue, as well as a vehicle located on the 600 block of East Grand Boulevard.
Police say those incidents occurred between Tuesday evening and early Wednesday morning. They are asking anyone with information to call (906) 774-1234.
Kingsford Public Safety officers say they located a forced entry into a building on the 300 block of Hamilton Avenue in Kingsford late Tuesday evening. Two more illegal entries were reported around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, one on a commercial building on the 1,000 block of East Boulevard, and a second on the 100 block of Woodward Avenue.
Kingsford Public Safety Officers collected evidence with assistance from the Michigan State Police and forwarded it to the Michigan State Police Crime Lab in Marquette. They are asking that anyone with information on these incidents call their department at (906) 774-2525.
It is unknown at this time if the break-ins are related.
