Stabbing suspect will head to court again in April

MARQUETTE — A 26–year–old man facing an assault charge will head to court again soon.

Casey Brian Kallio had a scheduling conference Wednesday morning in Marquette County Circuit Court, and he’ll head back on April 24th for a pretrial conference. He was arraigned there earlier this month on charges of intent do great bodily harm less than murder and malicious destruction of personal property between $200 and $1000.

Kallio is accused of stabbing Christopher Koory in an alley on the 400 block of West Washington Street in Marquette on New Year’s Day after Koory confronted him about slashing a tire.
