Upper Peninsula Weather 12/16-17

Snow held our main attention across the Upper Peninsula on Tuesday, prompting Winter Weather Advisories for our counties along Lake Superior until 7pm tomorrow.

By tonight, colder air mass settles in, as flakes continue to fly. Accumulations will be around 1-3 inches. Lows will fall to the upper teens and lower-20s, with winds coming out of the north at 10 to 20 miles per hour. Wednesday, snow will continue to fall, adding up to around 2-4 inches of accumulations.

Highs will reach the low to mid-20s, with northwest winds between 10 to 20 miles per hour. Tomorrow night snow leaves the region, as even cooler air finds its way in. Temps will bottom out in the mid and upper teens, while northwest winds weaken around 5 to 10 miles per hour. The cooler air mass hangs around on Thursday, as skies begin to clear.
