UPDATE: Possible wolf in Marquette is a coyote

The DNR has confirmed to ABC 10 the animal in a photo taken by Ron Gingras is a coyote.
Deputy public information officer Debbie Munson Badini said the animal has a pointy nose and short legs, which are characteristics of a coyote. Munson Badini also said it’s not unusual for coyotes to be spotted on the outskirts of Marquette.
MARQUETTE — A Marquette man may have captured a pictured of a wolf in his back yard.
Ron Gingras, who lives in the Shiras Hills area of Marquette, took a photo of what looks like a wolf. The picture was taken around 1 p.m. Thursday, December 11.
ABC 10 has contacted the DNR for confirmation on if the animal is a wolf.
