Popping in for a Mary Poppins audition workshop

The magical story of Mary Poppins will soon be performed by the Lake Superior Youth Theatre Group. Even more exciting for the kids is that it will be performed at the Forest Roberts Theater in February so an Audition Worship was held this evening.

With numerous roles to fill and lots of ensemble performances, lots and lots of kids will be needed. Experienced and beginners are welcome for this performance.

Because of the mystical flying sequences and various other stunts the workshop updated kids and parents on the auditioning process as well as the intricacies involved as many will be expected to fly high.

Sisters, Karen & Megan Ludwig attended the workshop and had this to say, “It’s helping us learn how to do an audition, to be more confident and to not be scared of what’s to come because it is a great experience. We learned how to be the roles and change it up to be our own so we can create a role and help us learn the role.”

“It helped us be prepared for the best audition we can have. This workshop is just getting us prepared for the part we want to be to be the best we want to be.”

Singer, dancers, actors and even gymnasts are needed for this performance as well as plenty of crew positions. Auditions will be held at the Gravereat School.
