Wildcats fall to Cardinals in GLIAC Tourney

MARQUETTE – The Northern Michigan University volleyball team suffered a 3-0 defeat to Saginaw Valley State in the quarterfinals of the GLIAC Tournament Wednesday evening at Vandament Arena.

The Cardinals (25-23, 25-14, 27-25) defeated the Wildcats for the second time this season. NMU was led offensively by Alex Larsen who had 11 kills. Meghan Supple had a game high 36 assists. Alex Berger had a game high 19 kills.

NMU finishes the season with a 14-14 overall record and a 14-4 mark in the GLIAC during the regular season. The Wildcats did not have a senior on this year’s team.
