Police arrest Wisconsin fugitive in Iron Mountain

IRON MOUNTAIN — A Wisconsin fugitive is now facing drug charges in the state of Michigan.

The Iron Mountain Police Department arrested 20-year-old Dylan Gmeiner of Niagara, Wisconsin last Thursday. Gmeiner was wanted by Wisconsin police on a felony charge of delivery/manufacture of marijuana.

The arrest stems from an incident that happened Thursday morning at an apartment on the 600 block of Main Street in Iron Mountain.

When officers made contact with the suspect, Gmeiner attempted to flee by jumping out of a second story window.

Gmeiner was transported to Dickinson County Hospital for the treatment of his injuries and was later lodged in the Dickinson County Correctional Center.  He has since been transported back to Wisconsin.

Dickinson County Prosecutor Lisa Richards submitted a formal charge of possession with intent to delivery marijuana after investigating the incident.

Gmeiner will be extradited back to Michigan after his Wisconsin charges are completed.
