DirecTV van runs red light, hits truck on U.S. 41
NEGAUNEE — There were no serious injuries after the driver of a DirectTV van ran a red light on U.S. 41.
The accident happened just after 6 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of U.S. 41 and Baldwin Avenue in Negaunee.
The Negaunee City Police say the driver of the van was heading eastbound when he drove through a red light, hitting the front end of a Chevy Truck who had the right of way. The truck was turning onto the highway from Baldwin Avenue.
Police say no one was taken to the hospital, but the driver of the DirectTV van had minor injuries.
The Michigan State Police, Marquette County Sheriff’s Office, Ishpeming City Police Department, Negauneee Fire Department, and Bell Hospital EMS assisted on scene.
