Ford River Township meth lab trial begins

ESCANABA — The meth lab trial of a Delta County man began today.

Robert Hanley, 43, of Ford River Township is accused of operating or maintaining a meth lab. His trial is scheduled to wrap up tomorrow.

Hanley could spend up to 20 years in prison if he’s found guilty.

The Delta County Sheriff’s Department says it learned last December that he had a one-pot meth lab in his home. The Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team got a search warrant for the home. UPSET says it found meth-making materials there.

Hanley was arrested in February.
