Iron Mountain residents arrested in Wisconsin on drug charges
IRON MOUNTAIN — Two Iron Mountain residents are in jail in Marinette, Wisconsin on heroin charges.
Their names aren’t available yet, but they’re a 24-year-old African-American man and a 26-year-old Caucasian woman. The two are both charged with heroin possession with intent to deliver.
The Iron Mountain Police received a tip that an Iron Mountain man would be going to Wisconsin to buy a large amount of heroin. Dickinson County Prosecuting Attorney Lisa Richards says the suspect left Thursday morning. Authorities stopped his vehicle in Crivitz, Wisconsin this morning. They believe he was returning from that trip.
Wisconsin officers searched the vehicle with a canine unit and found several grams of what they believe to be heroin. They arrested the man and his female passenger.
The two are expected to be arraigned in Marinette County sometime next week.
