Carlos Nunez brings some latin passion to the Kaufman

A night of Latin Passion is headed to Marquette. The second installment of the Northern Nights performing arts series begins this weekend. Carlos Nunez, will perform at the Kaufman Auditorium at 7:30pm on Saturday. This genre of music is described as Celtic music with some Latin passion.

“Carlos Nunez who is a bag pipe player from Spain so his music is influenced by Celtic and Spanish music. It’s an opportunity to bring the world to the U.P. for people to experience cultures and music and dance that they normally wouldn’t get to experience unless they travel to Spain or to India. It’s an opportunity to bring the world to Marquette and I think that’s important,” said Daniel Truckey, Coordinator, Northern Nights Series.

A host of other eclectric artists are scheduled to perform as part of the Northern Nights series. You can visit their website at www.nmu.edu/northernnights, for the complete lineup as well as ticket prices. With such an eclectic lineup, Northern Nights is offering discounted season tickets.
