MAPS school board ratifies teacher contracts

MARQUETTE –According to Marquette Area Public Schools Superintendent Bill Saunders, the MAPS Board of Education members voted 5-2 to ratify a new contract for district teachers during a special meeting Monday night.

The contract covers a three year period, 2013-2016, with raises in 2014-15 and 2015-16.
