Two people were transported to the hospital after an accident on U.S. 2 in Iron County.
The Iron County Sheriff’s Office reports the accident happened just after 2 p.m. CST Tuesday on the highway near Airport Road, about five miles south of Crystal Falls.
Deputies arrived on scene to find a truck had struck the back of a vehicle that was stopped at a road construction stop sign. That vehicle then hit the back of a second vehicle that was also stopped for the construction.
The accident damaged a large piece of the guard rail. Names of those involved are not being released at this time, as the accident remains under investigation.
The Iron county Sheriff’s Office would like to remind drivers to be extra cautious during the remainder of construction season.
