Chippewa County woman sentenced on drug charges

SAULT STE. MARIE — A Chippewa County woman will spend over two years behind bars on drug charges.

Lee Ann Mansfield-Earhart, 45, was sentenced to between 24 and 30 months in prison Tuesday in Chippewa County Circuit Court.  She pled guilty to two charges, delivery/manufacture of less than 50 grams of a controlled substance and delivery/manufacture of a schedule 1, 2, or 3 narcotic.

Mansfield-Earhart was sentenced as a two-time habitual offender and was credited for 15 days in jail.

She was arrested in January 2014 after a traffic stop on I-75 near St. Ignace and members of the Straits Area Narcotics Enforcement Team found heroin, crack cocaine, and other drug paraphernalia in her vehicle.
