A woman may have been lucky to avoid being seriously hurt in Ishpeming when the SUV she was driving rolled over.

The Ishpeming Police are still preparing a report, so they are unable to release any official information yet.  However, an area resident who was on scene shortly after the crash says it happened a little after 2:30 this morning on South Pine Street near Lake Angeline.  The woman was apparently driving south when she lost control, hitting a utility pole.  Her SUV then rolled over.

Wires from the utility pole were draped across the vehicle when police arrived.

The driver was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The Ishpeming Police are investigating.
