Sault Ste. Marie meth lab defendant pleads guilty

A co-defendant in a Sault Ste. Marie meth bust will not be going to trial.

Kevin Farnquist, 36, was scheduled for trial today in Chippewa County Circuit Court. Instead, he has pleaded guilty to possession of meth with drug double enforcement.

He and three other Sault Ste. Marie residents were arrested by the Straits Area Narcotics Enforcement Team in January after a meth lab was discovered in a duplex on Andary Street.

Farnquist will be sentenced next month.
