Car pulls in front of motorcycle, injures 70-year-old man

A 70-year-old Iron Mountain man is recovering from what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries today after his motorcycle was cut off by a car earlier this morning.

Iron Mountain Police say it happened around 9:00 a.m. in the 100 block of East H Street. According to the report, a westbound passenger vehicle pulled in front of the man’s motorcycle while attempting to turn into a business driveway. The driver has been identified as a 37-year-old Iron Mountain man. He has been cited for failing to yield the right of way. The man on the motorcycle was taken to Dickinson County Hospital. His status is unknown at this time.

The Iron Mountain Police Department was assisted on scene by Beacon Ambulance Service and the Iron Mountain Department of Public Works.
