Baseball: Portage Lake wins District Title
ISHPEMING – Portage Lake scored eight runs in the fifth inning on Wednesday, as they defeated Ishpeming, 12-3 in the Little League Baseball Juniors District Tournament final.
Portage Lake advances to the Little League Junior State Sectional against Kingsford. The sectional between the two teams is a best out of three games format. The winner advances to the state finals in Onsted.
Six players on the Portage Lake team have now won five straight Little League District Championships.
