Police ask for help finding missing cash in Delta County
The Delta County Sheriff’s Department wants to hear from residents who found cash lying on a highway this morning.
Shortly before noon today, a Minnesota man was riding a motorcycle on US-2 near Federal Highway 13 at Nahma Junction. His wallet fell out and landed on the road.
Passersby found the wallet and some cash, and police say they turned it over to an officer at the scene. However, the good Samaritans saw other people picking up cash and keeping it. There’s no word on how much of the man’s money is still missing.
The Sheriff’s Department is asking anyone who kept his cash to turn it in, either to them in Escanaba or to the nearest police agency.
