Five years on probation for man pleading guilty to CSC

An Escanaba man will spend five years on probation after pleading guilty to a criminal sexual conduct charge in May.

Joseph Williams, 21, was sentenced Monday in Delta County Circuit Court to not only probation, but also 83 days in jail.  However, he was credited for already having served those 83 days. Williams will also have to register as a sex offender and pay almost $1,300 in court fines and costs.

He pleaded guilty to fourth-degree CSC, a charge that involved a victim between the ages of 13 and 16, shortly after he was arrested in a Wells Township incident.
