Opponents of the Washington Redskins’ name will air a message before a large audience of sports fans tonight on ABC. A campaign known as ‘Change the mascot’ is an anti-Washington Redskins ad reportedly airing tonight during Game 3 of the NBA Finals.

The Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation of California purchased 60 seconds of air time from ABC/ESPN to run the “Proud to Be” advertisement. It will be seen in large market major cities.

The ad features a montage of videos of various Native Americans names, occupations, and societal titles, and concludes by stating “Native Americans call themselves many things. The one thing they don’t…” before displaying a picture of a Redskins helmet.
