Man accused of selling prescription drugs illegally appears in court

A former Marquette County resident is facing two felony charges following his arrest for allegedly selling prescription drugs, illegally.

Thomas James Waselesky, 45, was arraigned in Delta County District Court last week on two counts of delivery of a schedule 1, 2, or 3 narcotic except marijuana.  At a preliminary exam Thursday, Waselesky’s case was bound over to circuit court, where he is expected to make a plea next month.

He was arrested by the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team in Escanaba on May 22 after an investigation into the illegal sale of prescription drugs.
