Film about biking around Lake Superior to hold casting call

Anyone looking to be a part of a Hollywood movie that will be filmed in the U.P., now is your chance.

The film is called Superior.  It follows two recent high school graduates, Derek and Charlie, who bike 1,300 miles around Lake Superior in 1969.  Their travels take them from the Keweenaw to Minnesota, then across Canada and back into the U.S. near Sault Ste. Marie.

Superior is produced and directed by Edd Benda, a Michigan native.

The film will be shot from late June to mid-July.

Auditions for supporting roles in the film are Sunday, June 8 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Jutila Center in Hancock.  Following auditions there will be a meet-and-greet with the cast and crew at Habaneros Fresh Mexican Kitchen from 6p.m-8p.m., also on June 8.
