Several Upper Peninsula hospitals will soon be seeing a change in their upper management.

LifePoint Hospitals and Duke LifePoint Healthcare announced the appointment of Jim Bogan, current CEO of Portage Health in Hancock, to their expended executive management team as Market President.

The 24-year veteran of Portage Health will be responsible for executive and operations management for not only that hospital, but Bell Hospital and Marquette General as well.

The CEOs of all three hospitals will report directly to Bogan.

“Many of these CEOs are very seasoned people, and they’ve had a lot of experience in running facilities,” Bogan said. “So, I look forward to working with the two CEOs from Bell and Marquette General respectively, in terms of taking on and addressing the new challenges that we’re confronted with in healthcare.”

Bogan will continue to lead Portage Hospital while a nationwide search to fill his CEO position is underway.
