NMU Track & Field competes at GVSU

ALLENDALE, Mich. – The Northern Michigan University outdoor track and field team concluded its first day at the Al Owens Classic on Friday (April 18) from Allendale, Mich. on the campus of Grand Valley State University. After three events, the Wildcats are in fourth place out of 14 teams.

Senior Cheyenne Stewart won the triple jump with a jump of 12.34 meters. Freshman Jasmine Williams was 18th in the hammer throw with a throw of 36.39 meters. Freshman Samanthia Johnson was 34th (28 meters) in the event.

The second day of competition begins at 11 a.m. on Saturday (April 19).
