Man involved in stabbing appears for bond hearing

An Escanaba man will be back in court on May 1 on charges connected to a stabbing incident in March.

Tom Hanley, 73, had a bond hearing Wednesday in Delta County District Court.

His bond has been set at $100, and if he’s released on bond, he will have to wear a tether to monitor his alcohol use.

Hanley is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and assaulting, resisting or obstructing a police officer. The charges come out of a stabbing in Ford River Township on March 15.

He is accused of stabbing a 44–year–old Escanaba man. A preliminary exam scheduled for May 1.
