Man facing two charges in stabbing incident

A Delta County man is facing two charges after allegedly stabbing another man.

Tom Hanley, 73, was arraigned in Delta County District Court Monday.  He is charged with one count of assault with a dangerous weapon and police officer assault–resisting/obstructing.

Hanley was arrested Saturday by the Michigan State Police after a stabbing incident at a residence in Ford River Township.

He allegedly stabbed a 44-year-old man, who was then transported to the hospital.

Hanley will be back in court March 20 for a preliminary exam.
