Man stabbed by stepdaughter sentenced to jail & probation on drug charge
A Delta County man who was stabbed by his stepdaughter in August has been sentenced on a drug charge in Delta County Circuit Court.
Clyde Hardwick, 64, of Masonville Township will serve two years of probation and 30 days in jail, with credit for 13 days already served, for maintaining a drug house. Hardwick was also given a 12-month delay of sentence for domestic violence. If he successfully completes his probation, he won’t serve any additional jail time.
Both charges stem from a dispute last August between Hardwick and his 20-year-old stepdaughter, who stabbed him in self-defense. Michigan State Police from the Gladstone Post responded to the incident, searched the home and found an illegal marijuana grow operation. An undisclosed amount of marijuana was seized by Troopers at the time.
