Warm weather through Thursday; U.P. braces for more snow

Sunny skies and warm temperatures put smiles on many Upper Peninsula faces Wednesday.

Highs topped off well into the 40’s with breezy westward winds.

Conditions will remain quiet through Wednesday night, with temperatures falling to the lower 20’s.   By Thursday morning, clouds reappear in the region with the next disturbance moving in.  Temperatures will be in the 30’s for most of the day.

Upper Peninsula is gearing up for another winter storm Thursday night and into Friday; Houghton and Keweenaw Counties have a blizzard warning until Friday.

Alger, Baraga, Delta, Dickinson, Gogebic, Iron, Marquette, Menominee, Ontonagon, Schoolcraft and Southern Houghton are under a winter storm watch until Friday.

Temperatures continue to tumble on into Friday, which will only be the beginning
of a colder weekend to come.

Enjoy the warmth while you can!
