BAY CITY, Mich. – Senior guard Austin Armga, of the Michigan Tech men’s basketball team, was named GLIAC North Division Player of the Week on Monday (Feb. 17), for the second time this season.

Armga averaged 22 points and six rebounds in a pair of wins over North Division opponents last week. He scored 19 points, with 11 of them coming from the free throw line, in a 63-55 win over Wayne State on Thursday (Feb. 13). In a 68-53 win over Saginaw Valley State on Saturday (Feb. 15), The 6-4 guard scored a game-high 25 points on 9-for-17 shooting, after being honored before the game on Senior Day. He continues to climb Michigan Tech’s scoring chart and is up to 13th all-time with 1,376 points. Armga also continues to lead the GLIAC in scoring, averaging 23.2 points per game.

The Huskies are 18-5 overall and 14-5 in the GLIAC and play two of their final three games this week at Northwood and Lake Superior State.
