A suspect in a January hit and run accident in Delta County has been arrested.
The Delta County Sheriff’s Office says they took 60-year-old Paul Jarvis of Rapid River into custody last week after he turned himself in to his attorney.
Officers say the incident happened on January 13th in Masonville Township when a woman heading eastbound in Dodge Minivan on US-2 near Whitefish Hill slowed down for a vehicle parked on the side of the road. As she began to stop, a pickup truck rear-ended her van, causing it to enter a ditch. The pickup truck driver then fled the scene. The woman driving the minivan was treated at OSF St. Francis Hospital and released.
Jarvis is charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury accident. He waived his arraignment, and his pretrial conference in 94th District Court is set for tomorrow morning.
